On Oct. 10, 2010 Terry entered into rest at the Green Leaf Nursing Facility. She was 89, daughter of the late Walter and Mary (nee Barclay) Tucker.
Born in Canada, Terry spent most of her life in California where she was a dispatcher for the California Highway Patrol. She was an only child but is survived by her cousins, William and Shirley Barclay, Douglass Scott and Barbara and Chuck Gale and their children Christine and Charles Gale.
Although Terry always considered herself a California Girl, she moved to Doylestown, Pa., in 2003. Her favorite things to do in life were traveling and playing Badminton with whom she traveled with, her teammates. Terry, although an only child, managed to have numerous friends in both California and Pennsylvania by whom she will be fondly remembered and missed.
Services and interment were private. Arrangements by Varcoe Thomas Funeral Home.

I found this obituary yesterday when I was looking for Daisy on ancestry.com.
I am so sorry to have found Daisy too late to have met her. She sounds like a wonderful lady. Daisy's father was my grandad's brother. I have lived in Los Angeles since 1965 having emigrated here from Surrey, England. If any of her relatives would be interested in calling me, my home phone is (818) 992-0757. I would love to learn more about Daisy. Jean Tucker

I was hired by Terry in 1980. She had her reservation about hiring me because I was only 19. But, working in that office gave me the opportunity to work with and to get to know my own father as an adult. She was a wise women who taught me a lot. May her family find peace in knowing that she touched many of us, here in Ventura -

I worked with Terry when she was a CHP Dispatch Supervisor and I was an officer. She was a dedicated professional at work. But most of all, she was friendly to everyone. The last time I saw her was about 10 years ago. She saw me and yelled my name and gave me the biggest hug. We must have talked for an hour. She was enjoying retirement. I will miss her. My prayers to her and the family. Mike Cooper,

It was always a pleasure to work with Terry, especially when I filled-in for a sick dispatcher. Terry would work the other console, and we'd have a good time, despite the occasional crises. Wonderful person and dedicated supervisor!

Terry was a wonderful dispatcher and friend. She always had a smile and something pleasant to say. May she rest in peace. Bob Dickie, Sgt (Ret) CHP Ventura
