David Martin Seregely, 45, of Ventura, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010. His death was a sudden accident.
David was born Feb. 24, 1965 in Santa Monica and had been a Ventura County resident for the past 25 years, coming from Van Nuys. David worked for Pacific Poly Crafts as the production manager and maintenance manager. He was also a member of the rock band "Dirty Work," who played at various clubs and venues in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley in the 1980s.
David loved water skiing, playing card games at casinos, cooking (he was a great chef), and desert bike riding. David would often ride with his father. On one occasion, David and his dad were out riding and his father had a tragic accident. David made the decision to ride off and get help. David had his dad airlifted to Loma Linda Hospital where his father was revived and had his injuries repaired.
David essentially saved his dad's life. "Thanks David." We all will miss you so much. David is survived by his father, Daniel; mother, Barbara; brother, Daniel; and son, Tyler. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Marie and Karen Stephanie.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura. Condolences may be left at www.tedmayrfuneralhome.com.
