To the family and friends of Ed (Edd), I would like to express my condolences. Sheryl, I am very sorry for your loss. I worked at NSWC PHD. Edd had recently transitioned into the area where I was located and I had just started to get to know him. He was one of the good guys and he was very well known for reaching out to the newest members of the team. The interns joining the program were all huge fans of Edd and appreciated the time he took to give them a taste of “the way things really work. I appreciate the spirit Edd and others like him bring to the table and only wish I could have gotten to know him better. He is already missed a great deal now and will be missed in the days that follow as well.

Edd will be truly missed in the provisioning world from east to west coast. His knowledge and experience was like that of no other. Always willing to provide guidance. I will miss him.

For some reason Ed's Jazz ringtones still resonate when I remind of him. He loved to play them on his phone and shared with cube-mates. You're a lovable man Ed. Rest in peace. (Randy Hoang)

I worked with Edd on the LCS program for about a year. I considered Edd a wonderful co-worker as well as a good friend. His knowledge and experience in provisioning and maintenance planning were excellent and he helped LCS logistics get off to a solid start. What I remember most about Edd is his wonderful smile, enduring optismism and loyalty to family, friends and co-workers. He had my back and defended me on many occasions while we were back east at the program office. He was also a blast to travel with! Edd loved to eat well and we had many dinners while on travel where I would love listening to his stories about his family both in CA and back in Phili. I miss you Edd, but I'll keep a part of you with me.

Mrs. Edward Borden, may I say I am so sorry to hear of your loss! I was out of the office 6/7 January so when I returned to work on Monday it was such a shock to hear of Ed's passing.
I was proud to be his secretary and proud to assist him with his sick leave paperwork during his illness. We, in Code L40, are all so very sad to have lost Ed ~ LCS has lost one of their own! We have lost a lot of knowledge and expertise! We have lost a true friend! He will be sorely missed by everyone in the Land Attack Department ~ we were his "nine to five" family ~ so like family ~ we are grieving along with you! My prayers for your comfort in your grief are extended to all of Ed's family, friends, loved ones.
May our Good Lord cover you in His Mighty Wings as a mother hen covers her little chicks! May you hear the Comfort of His Voice in the stillness and quiet He will Provide! May you seek Him in times of sorrow. May you feel His Presence in your remembrance of the man that you loved~Ed!!! And to his children and grandchildren I pray for their understanding and acceptance of the loss of their father and grandfather. Laugh together. Love together. Live together in much JOY ~ Ed is and always will be with you!!! My sincerest sympathy to all, Deborah Serpabrandl

I was a co-worker of Edd's and got to know him well during the last three and half years that we worked together. He was fun, caring, knowledgeable, helpful, and passionate about his family, his work, and his life. His passing has left a big hole and he will be sorely missed. Blessings to his soul and his family.

Edd will be missed very much. Even though I haven't worked directly with Edd for several years, he was always willing to do whatever was necessary to support the fleet. One thing I always got a kick out of was Edd's straight shootin' tell it like it is style. It was an honor knowing and working with Edd. Rest in Peace my friend. We will miss you...your friends and co-workers from NAVICP Mechanicsburg, Pa.

Mrs. Borden, you husband and our team player "Ed", will be truly missed. Ed has work for the LCS program office for a while and during my 3 yrs as the acting logistics deputy I communicated often with the PHD office and mostly with ED. Ed was a true team player, I remember a time when we all were in Mobile Ala. performing a ship configuration audit and Ed not knowing he was seroiusly ill, wanted to continue on into the evening with the rest of us while we were all climbing around on the ship doing a visual validation on the equipments on the ship, against what our records said was installed, Ed really was a TEAM PLAYER, again very, very, soory for you and the rest of your family.

It was always a treat when Ed came back east to visit. Always a big smile, a hug, and an "I love you". Although Ed loved California, he never forgot his Philadelphia roots and made sure he got his fill of Tastykakes and soft pretzels whenever he was here. Sher, Cindy, Robyn, and Maureen, my heart aches along with yours. Let's remember what a great guy he was and all the the love he had for his family and friends.
