Jane McKinnon, 97, of Ventura, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010 at home following a long illness.
Mrs. McKinnon was born Aug. 15, 1913, in Walla Walla, Wash., to Guy and Ruth Bronson Burlingame. She was raised and schooled in Long Beach and attended U.C.L.A. In her earlier years, Jane was active in golf, ballroom dancing, bridge and volunteer work. The last few years she was active in duplicate bridge.
Jane is survived by son, Rex Bailes of Hesperia; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Patricia Bailes of Kona Hawaii, and Charles and Estelle McKinnon of Newark, Calif.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alice Burlingame of Santa Clara, as well as a niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Burlingame.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8 at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura, with Pastor Dan Hull officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura. Condolences may be left at www.TedMayrFuneralHome.com

You will be missed Grandma. I have so enjoyed all the love and kindness you have shared with me and my family. I will so miss your little notes coming in the mail and our visits. Rest in peace Grandma you are finally back with Grandpa Mac. We love you.
