Ruth Naomi Ramirez, 87, born June 5, 1927 to parents Ascencion and Mercedes Sigala (deceased) was raised in Santa Paula, Ca.
After graduation from Santa Paula High in 1946 she worked at Briggs Lemon Assn. in Santa Paula and later with Stokley's in Oxnard.
She met her future husband Gustavo in 1948, and married on April 1, 1950 in Yuma, Arizona and thus began a life together of over 63 years. With sons (Gil and Richard) born in 1951 and 1952 they enjoyed camping at Lake Cachuma, Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. For 16 years she was employed by the Oxnard School District where she was able to share her many culinary skills. Ruth loved crocheting, sewing and needlepoint. Her sons fondly recount how she would create shirts for school out of flour bags from the old La Perla tortilleria in Oxnard and their favorite dishes of Fideo.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gustavo, brothers Chris, Alfonso, Frank; sisters Rosalinda and Sarah. Other survivors include sons Gil (Vicki) and Richard; grandchildren Erin, Greg (Christina), Rachael, Scott, Steven, and Robert; great-grand children Kaitlyn and Keira and her dearest niece Anita Mae (Ben) and cousins Laura Cabral, Alex Villa and Anita Cobos.
The family would like to thank Livingston Memorial Hospice and Mom's Places in Camarillo, in particular Lina Bolotsky.

Hallo cousin Gilbert and Richard. Sorry to hear of the loss of your mom and pop. Stay strong. Go on a trip and have fun. It is not easy to pick the right words for those who are in mourning so excuse me. Lost our mom over a year ago. She is at peace. Love you guys. Larry and Kathy.
