Stella Dixon Obituary

Stella Rosetta Dixon was born in London, England on March 2, 1919 and gently passed away on July 5, 2010 at Country Care in Selma, Calif.

She was a devoted wife to her husband the Reverend Leonard D. Dixon who preceded her in death, mother to her children, David Dixon, Diane Palmer and Philip Dixon, son-in-law Steven Palmer, daughter-in-law Cynthia Dixon and grandmother to Tabitha, Joanna, Jeff, Chrissy, Drake and Cody; also five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Stella also leaves to cherish her memories her three sisters, Phyllis Wells, Lorna Millard, Joy Menzie; brother-in-law, Collin Menzie; and sister-in-law Joyce Dixon; along with numerous nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly.

Stella enjoyed her many friends, traveling, golf, gardening and volunteer work.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12 at Saint Paul's Episcopal and Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 117 N. 7th Street, Santa Paula. Remembrances may be sent to the donor's favorite charity.

Mr. and Mrs. Dixon were my neighbors. They were both great people, great mentors,and my first employers as a child. I was in charge of watching their plants when they went on vacation. Inside plants and beautiful outside gardens. Great people! Mrs. Dixon, I'm sure you and Mr. Dixon are happy to see each other again!
