Steven passed away from a brief illness. He will truly be missed by all that knew him. On November 4, 2010, his ashes were spread in the mountains of Galena Summit, Idaho where he loved to spend time outdoors with his wife and two sons.
Steven is survived by his wife Traci Vangelder, sons Dustin and wife Danika, Travis and wife Candice, and grandson Parker Scott, mother Diane Vangelder, brother Mike and wife Jodi Vangelder, nieces Alysia and Amanda Vangelder and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Preceded in death by brother Scott Vangelder and father Frans Vangelder.

I had just come back from a church service and received a text from my sister that you passed. It caught me off guard. It seemed like yesterday when you messaged me on FB about Idaho...

Steven, wow...its hard to believe you are gone....we grew up together...and always ended up in a class together here and there....we recently just got back in touch through the wonders of facebook...and I enjoyed re-connecting with you....you are truely missed...as childhood friends are the ones that leave a mark on your heart...may you rest in peace...miss ya lots!
