Gerald Ray Smith, 55, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009 with his family by his side.

Gerald met the love of his life, Debbie, in 1985, but their lives took different paths. Years later by a miracle of God, they found each other and shared the last few years loving each other. They were married on Nov. 16, 2007. Gerald found great joy in his job at Executive limousine. He was an avid tennis player, loved music, was inspirational to others, and truly cared for those around him. He never met a stranger.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 18 months, Debbie; daughter Heather of Oxnard; grandchildren Eddie, Gabriel and Jordan; bother Michael Smith (Laurie) of Hesperia; sister Wendy Anderson (Andy) of Lompoc; numerous nieces and nephews.

A very special thanks to Community Memorial Hospital 6th Floor Staff, Kaiser Staff & doctors, the Venturan Staff, Dr. Bruce Woodling, and Assisted Home Hospice. A celebration of life will be held 2 PM, Thursday, July 30th in the Vista Room of the Ventura Townehouse. Everyone is welcome to come and share your favorite memories of how he touched your life. Arrangements by Coast Cities Cremations, Ventura.
