Christopher Joseph Fierro, 25, of Oxnard and Silver City, NM went home to be with the Lord, Thursday April 14, 2011 unexpectedly as a result of drowning.
Christopher was born on August 21, 1985 in Ventura County. He lived in Oxnard, CA with his mother until age 11 he then moved to Silver City, NM to be with his father. He attended Cobre High School in Silver City, NM where he shined and was recognized for his many athletic abilities. He graduated Cobre High in 2001 and went on to Western NM University. He continued in College Basketball, and a season of semi-pro football. As age 19 he decided to finish his education and return to California to play basketball for Oxnard College. He always kept a smile on his face, and naturally attracted people with his beautiful soul and amazing personality.
He leaves behind his two sons; Christopher James Thompson, age 3 and A'jaun Newsome, age 2, mother Elizabeth Taylor of Oxnard, father Daniel Fierro of Silver City, Nm, girlfriend Andrea Edmond of Oxnard, grandmother Rocendia Taylor of Oxnard, grandparents Louis and Angie Fierro of Silver City, NM, brothers Alchan Robbs of Oxnard and Daniel Fierro Jr. of Silver City, NM, a sister Leticia Fierro Garcia of Silver City, NM, five nieces and five nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held on Friday May 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church in Oxnard services by Del Angel.
