Rikk was born January 3, 1961, and raised in Oxnard. He left us to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thanksgiving morning November 22, 2012, at 12:45 AM.

Rikk went all the way through Little League as a boy and graduated from Oxnard High School in 1979. He was active in water polo and football in high school. He loved surfing, body building, fishing, motor cycling and his hobby was his salt water fish aquarium. He also loved music and was a drummer in several bands.

After high school, he joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Knox, Ky. He was honorably discharged three years later.

Soon after his discharge, he was injured at his job and was plagued with back problems and many back surgeries. He contracted Hepatitis "C" from a blood transfusion during one of his early surgeries and fought the complications of liver disease for the remainder of his life.

He graduated from Cosmetology School in 1987 and worked in the field until his back problems ended his career. He graduated from Santa Barbara Business College and was selected as student speaker for graduation in 1996 and also attended California State University Channel Islands. He spent several years in cellular sales and retired as a mortgage broker in 2006 due to his progressive illness.

Rikk and his wife, Kim Zuber, were married February 24, 1990. Rikk dearly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his kids, camping, coaching his son's Little League teams, attending the kid's sports and actively participating in all of their activities. Rikk was funny with a never-ending sense of humor and was loving and devoted to his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Braddy and three of his nephews. He is survived by his wife Kimberly; son Ian; daughter Kaylyn; mother Myrtle Braddy; brothers Frank (Kay) and Tom (Cindy) Braddy; sisters Judy (Phil) Palmer and Debbie (Chris) Shirley; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Rikk's home-going will be held on Saturday, December 1, at 2 p.m., officiated by Pastor Leonard DeWitt in the Chapel at Ventura Baptist Church, 5415 Ralston, Ventura. A reception will follow. Arrangements are by Coast Cities Cremations, Ventura.
