Colin attended Poinsettia Elementary, Cabrillo Middle School and Ventura High School. He graduated in the class of 2008. Soon after high school, Colin joined the navy as a corpsman. He was serving his last year with the navy while stationed in Kailua, Hawaii. He had recently returned from deployment to Afghanistan in October of 2012. Colin was killed in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, April 28 on Highway 3 in Honolulu. He was 23 years old. Colin had been planning to attend medical school after his service with the navy. Colin enjoyed gaming, books and staying active. He participated in triathlons and had taken up surfing in Hawaii. He is survived by his mother Darla, his father James, his sister Cristen, his brother Sean, and aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly.

His service will be held on Saturday May 4, 11:30 a.m. at the St. John Pleasant Valley Hospital Healing Garden located at 2309 Antonio Ave. in Camarillo, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
