Rose Leal

Rose Leal Rose Alice Leal passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 surrounded by her children. She was 101 years of age. During her long life she shared a marriage of more than 70 years with her husband, Joseph, who preceded her in death. Our mother was a compassionate person, a great cook and a wonderful mother who dearly loved her family and her church. She is survived by eight children: Delores Martin, Alice Leal, Laurie Coleman, & Joseph A.(Barbara) Leal all of Visalia; Dorothy Leal of Tulare; Lucille Machado of Bakersfield; Teresa Willoughby of Redding; Mary Leal of St. Marys, Kansas; 24 grandchildren as well as numerous great & great-great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death was a daughter Irene Sa, a son James Leal and two grandsons: Eric Velasco & Jeffrey Coleman. Our family would like to thank the nursing staff of Tulare Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for the years of tender loving care our mother received. Services will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 125 E. Pleasant Ave., Tulare on Friday, September 26th at 1:00 p.m. with burial following in the Tulare District Cemetery, 900 E. Kern Ave. In Lieu of flowers a donation may be made for The Muscular Dystrophy Association or a charity of your choice. Arrangements provided by Peers Lorentzen Funeral Services.
