Benny Calderon

Benny Calderon Benny P. Calderon went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 6, 2014. He was born on April 10, 1934. Benny's parents migrated to California working as laborers. As a young man he enlisted in the U. S. Army and served as a sharpshooter and marksman. He later worked for Ronny Kucala as a hod carrier for 25 years and after retirement missed his job very much. Benny enjoyed family get-togethers and trips to the coast with his beautiful bride (as he would call her); he loved his "Mamita", his wife of 28 years, Pauline Cruz Calderon. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter Ruby Luna and husband Isaias; five step-daughters Vicki, Katie, Jeannie, Jeannette, Nanny and their spouses; many grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved and cared for him very much and in return were blessed with his caring and loving heart. Benny is preceded in death by his father Lorenzo Calderon; mother Eduwige Perez Calderon; son Ruben Calderon and many other loved ones. Benny was a man after God's own heart, who prayed daily and walked in the ways of the Lord. He will surely be missed by all who loved and knew him. Visitation will be 3-8 pm, Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 4 pm, Friday, May 9, 2014 also at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel.
