Byron W. Hylton Byron W. Hylton was born on December 25, 1917 in Fresno, California to Tom and Essie Hylton. He passed away April 16, 2013 in Tulare at the age of 95. Byron is a 1937 graduate of Strathmore High School. A World War II
Veteran, Byron served in the United States Navy
from 1941 to 1947. He was an electrician during the Navy and continued his profession for most of his life. He retired from College of the Sequoias as an electrician in 1980. He was a lifetime member of the following organizations: Amvets, Cabrillo Club, Knights of Columbus and Lodges UPPEC, ISMM and St. Anthony's. He married Elsie Hylton in 1953 and they celebrated 60 years of marriage this year. Byron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grand father & great great grandfather. He loved his family gatherings at his home. His favorite pastime was tending to his beautiful flowers. He would plant hundreds of flowers in his yard; people would stop and enjoy the flowers. He also enjoyed watching sports especially the Dodgers- he will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his grandson Mark Malone, his brother Don and Sister Bernice Hefner. He is survived by his loving wife Elsie, his three daughters Sharon McCambridge of Buena Park, CA, Linda Malone (Sammy) of Visalia, Debbie Estus (Darrell) also of Visalia, 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Monday, April 22, 2013 from 2-5:30pm at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home. Rosary will begin at 6:00PM also at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 10:30am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Tulare. Burial will follow at Tulare District Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013, 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home, 151 North "H" Street, Tulare. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013, 6:00 p.m. at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 125 E. Pleasant Avenue, Tulare, with burial at Tulare District Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Miller's Tulare Funeral Home.
