Donna Kebler

Donna Jean Kebler Personnel Manager Donna Jean Kebler, 77, of Visalia went home to be with the Lord on November 8, 2012 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Donna was born on October 20, 1935 in Valley City, Montana to John and Hazel Nelson. She spent most of her childhood in Mill City, Oregon. Donna graduated valedictorian of her high school class. Donna married Norman Whitney in 1955 and they moved with their 2 sons to Three Rivers, Ca from Weaverville, Ca in 1966. Donna made lifelong friends in Three Rivers in the more than 30 years she resided there. Donna lost Norman in 1980. In 1985, at the age of 50, Donna graduated from the University of San Francisco with her Bachelor's degree, an accomplishment she was very proud of. Donna was employed at Sequoia National Park in Human Resources for 30 years before retiring in 1995. Donna married Charles "Chuck" Kebler in 1985. Donna and Chuck relocated to Prineville, Oregon in 2000 and enjoyed retirement there. After Chuck's passing in 2005, Donna returned to Tulare County to be near her children and grandchildren. Donna enjoyed activities and gatherings with her family, who were her pride and joy. She enjoyed playing card games, and winning most of the time! She loved to watch sports, especially baseball and NASCAR. She enjoyed a friendly debate, too. Although she was ill, she enjoyed her last month's surrounded by her family. Donna is survived by son Aaron Whitney and wife Nancy of Tulare, son Gary Whitney and wife Tania of Three Rivers, step-daughter Kathy Britten and husband Larry of Visalia, step-daughter Kim Sayti and husband Mike of Washington, step-son Rob Kebler and wife Jenni of Washington, sister Anna Mae McClintock of Oregon, sister Ellena DeFault of Oregon, sister Lorna West of Idaho, 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Donna is preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Whitney, second husband Chuck Kebler, brother John Nelson, sister Norma Burkhart and step-son Randy Kebler. A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on November 12, 2012 at Three Rivers Baptist Church, 42013 Eggers Dr., Three Rivers, CA. Private burial. Condolences may be e-mailed to
