John Louis (Jack) Wilson

John Louis Wilson (Jack) November 23, 1920 - January 1, 2013 Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Jack went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2013. Jack was born November 23, 1920 in Munson, CA to John and Ethel Wilson. Jack served in the US Army during WWII as an aircraft mechanic, was a businessman, adventurer and traveler. He flipped grocery stores before there were television shows on flipping. He dredged for gold throughout California and even Australia. Many of his projects were done with his sons at his side. After his retirement he moved back to Visalia where he met and married his soul mate Rosie C. Alvarez (Rose) of Tulare. Jack and Rosie traveled throughout the US and created beautiful memories. Jack and Rose were inseparable. You wouldn't hear Jack's name without Rose being said right along. In between traveling Jack and Rose square danced, played dominoes, took photos, and tended there vegetable and flower gardens. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ethel, his sons, Kenneth, John Jr. and Dale. He is survived by his wife Rose, sons, Geary (wife Luanne) and Don all of Visalia, daughter Shelly Lambert (husband Martin) of Australia, step-daughter Sandy McCoy (husband Terry) of Gilroy, with 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Tuesday, January, 8th at 1pm at the Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia, CA. Tributes and condolences may be made at www.millerchapel.com.
