Joseph "Baby Joe" Castillo

Joseph R."Baby Joe" Castillo Long time Alaska resident, Joseph R."Baby Joe" Castillo passed away on February 25, 2013 at Providence Medical Center in Alaska. Joseph was born to Mary and Joe Castillo on August 12, 1956 in Fresno, Ca. He moved to Alaska as a young man, working construction and recently retired from the Plasterers and Cement Masons Local 867. Baby Joe loved socializing with friends, playing his guitar, dancing and singing karaoke and will be greatly missed by his extended Alaskan family and friends. Baby Joe is survived by his mother, Mary Portillo( Gilbert) of Woodlake, Ca; sons Camden Castillo of San Luis Obispo, Robert Castillo, Rudy Castillo, and Joey Castillo of Woodlake, Ca and 4 grandchildren; brothers Robert Rivas (Mary) of West Memphis, AR. Henry Castillo (Bobbie) of San Fernando, Ca. Jim Castillo (Candy) of Converse, Tx. John Castillo (Pam) of Enterprise, Al. Raymond Castillo (Peggy) of Colorado Springs, Co. Sisters Rosemarie Valero (Al) of Woodlake, Ca and Jennie Castillo (Grace) of Fowler, Ca. Numerous nieces and nephew, who all love him and will miss his infectious smile Baby Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joe Castillo of Woodlake, Ca and brother, David Castillo (Vietnam 1969) of San Fernando, Ca. A celebration of his life will take place in July 2013.
