Larence "Leon" Snow

Larence "Leon" Snow Larence "Leon" Snow, 62, was born November 8, 1950 in Chickasaw, Oklahoma. He moved to Tulare at age 11, graduating from Tulare Union High School in 1969, at which time he joined the Navy. He married his high school sweetheart, Karen Holland on August 1, 1970. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he worked for a short time at C. Jim Quinn & Co. in Tulare. In 1976 Leon joined his very best friend, Jim Pidgeon at TNT Quick Lube, Wash & Smog, where he loved to be, even after his retirement. He was an active member of AmVets Post #56. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson "Snowshovel" and LOVED spending time with his grandchildren, Rebecca & Joseph. He considered Jim Pidgeon, Joe Yodsnukis and John Parsons his "brothers from another mother" and shared ALL of his life experiences with them, which we all loved sharing and laughing about over and over. He was preceded in death by his parents Troy and Hazel Snow. Leon is survived by his wife, Karen, daughter Crystal and son-in-law Jeff Fabry of Lemoore; his son Michael and daughter-in-law Arika Snow of Riverdale and his grandchildren: Rebecca and Joseph Fabry. He is also survived by his brother Rex Snow and sister Ruthan Snow both of Tulare; additional siblings out of the area and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends; but his many life experiences will continue to be loving remembered and shared for many years to come. Viewing will be held from 12-8 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel, Tulare. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2013 at Tulare District Cemetery, 900 E. Kern Ave., Tulare. Donations can be made in his name to AmVets Post #56, 240 E. King Ave., Tulare, CA 93274.
