Michael Ray McKinney

Michael Ray McKinney Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, Michael Ray McKinney passed away unexpectedly at home that he shared with his wife, Karen McKinney and was taken away to be with Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. Mike worked with his brother, Mark, as a professional painter for over 25 years and was highly complimented for their work. Words cannot describe his favorite pastime, fishing. He spent countless hours up in the mountains at the river. He enjoyed golfing, camping with his family, playing cards with friends and just hanging out and traveling with Karen. Mike attended Tulare Western High School where he was on the diving team, played football and four years playing trumpet in the band. He will be remembered as a very kind, tender hearted man who made everyone feel comfortable with his easy manner and sense of humor. He was a devoted husband, attributing his marriage to a wonderful blessing in his life from the Lord. Mike thoroughly loved life. On July 16, 1959, Mike was born to Don and Ethel McKinney, who will greatly miss their loving son. He also survived by his brother, Mark McKinney; his sister, Kim McKinney; his niece and her husband, Heather and Tony Martins, his great nieces: Makenzie, Montana and Mylee and two nephews: David McKinney and Brycen Knox; as well as many relatives. A memorial service will be held at noon this Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at Neighborhood Church, 5505 W. Riggin Ave., Visalia, and will be officiated by Pastor Steve Harms. The family would like to invite you to a luncheon immediately following the memorial. Arrangements by Peers Lorentzen Funeral chapel, Tulare.
