Bobby worked in construction all of his adult life. He was a member of the Operating Engineers local 3 and the Laborers Union local 294. He retired in 2004 after working in the prisons instructing inmates in the skill of construction, in which he enjoyed very much. Bobby never met a stranger and always had a joke to tell. He always opened his heart and home to family and friends. Cooking was his passion. It brought joy to him to see everyone enjoy and compliment food that he had prepared. He made the best tamales and Pozole. Every Thanksgiving he would deep pit 20 or more turkeys for family and friends and made it seem so simple. His hobbies included, catering with his group of friends "Los Cocineros", harvesting cherry and walnut trees, planting and gardening, cracking walnuts to give away to friends, raising animals and following his favorite mariachi group to listen to music. Bobby loved his grandchildren more than words can say. Everyone always smiled when they heard his grandchildren call him "Bobby" never grandpa, and to his eldest granddaughter, he was known as "my Viejo", he often bragged a little about this, sounding so proud. He had a special bond with his grandchildren and there was nothing that he would not do for them. Bobby will always be remembered as a kind and generous man with the best sense of humor.
