Rosie Jorge Rosie Jorge, 84, passed away on June 9, 2014, peacefully at her home in Tulare, California. Rosie was born in Tulare on July 25, 1929 to parents Antonio and Maria Serpa. She attended Laurel Grammar School in Tulare and Graduated from Tulare Union High School. Rosie met and married her loving husband, Manuel, 59 years ago in Pico, Azores. Rosie and Manuel raised their family and worked together on their dairy farm in Corcoran for many years before moving to town in Tulare in 1997. Rosie always had a hot cup of coffee, a tasty meal, friendly conversation and a beautiful smile for all that came to visit the dairy farm. Lots of fun times were had by many taking part in family and cultural traditions at the dairy making Portuguese linguica and enjoying Rosie's Christmas dinners. Over the years, Rosie & Manuel traveled together on several cruises & throughout many European countries, South America, Canada. They also toured the United States with senior groups. Rosie also loved going to Pismo Beach where she and Manuel spent several weeks at a time enjoying the lovely coastal weather. Rosie is survived by her husband Manuel Jorge, daughter Gloria and husband Bill Dennis of Tulare, son Tony and wife Julie Jorge of Corcoran. Rosie is also survived by her sister Mary M. Berbereia and numerous sister-in-laws, brother-In-laws and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Maria Serpa and her brother, Carl Serpa. Visitation will be Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Miller's Funeral Home, 151 North H St., Tulare. A Rosary and Mass will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, 125 E. Pleasant Ave. Tulare. Burial will be at Tulare District Cemetery, 900 E. Kern Ave., Tulare The family gives thanks and gratitude to Dr. Holvik, Dr. Stillwater, Dr. Hsu, Anna Bernard, family members & friends who provided love & care to Rosie over the years and during the past few weeks. Arrangements are entrusted to Miller's Tulare Funeral Home.
