Troy Earles

Troy Earles Troy F. Earles, a longtime resident of Tulare, passed away July 4, 2013 at the age of 81. He was born April 1, 1932 in Earlsboro, Oklahoma to Ira and Ella Mae Earles. Troy's family moved to California when he was three years old, first settling in Madera and then eventually in Tulare. He attended Tulare Union High School and graduated in 1951. Following the example of his patriotic brothers, both WWII veterans, he served nine years in the National Guard. He later met the love of his life, Oleta Vincent. They were married in October of 1956 and shared 56 wonderful years together. Troy worked for the Mosquito Abatement for 19 years, and then worked 21 years for the City of Tulare Parks and Recreation Department, retiring in 1992. After retiring, Troy-being very much a people person-enjoyed mornings spent with his friends having coffee and chatting at the local McDonald's. He was an exceptionally caring man who devoted much of his time volunteering at Love INC in Tulare. Troy was a faithful Christian man who loved the Lord and a regular attendee at First Assembly of God Church in Tulare. He was not aggressive in sharing his faith, but he was not ashamed of the gospel. Anyone who came to know Troy Earles soon recognized that he always had an inner peace, happiness and contentment about him. He was loved by many and will be truly missed by all who had the fortune to know him. Troy was preceded in death by his father Ira Earles, step-mother Robbie Earles; mother Ella Mae Earles; his brother, I.B. Earles and two sisters, Joyce Brunson and Reba Reeve. He is survived by his wife Oleta Earles of Tulare; two sons, Martin Earles and wife Renata of Grass Valley and Brad Earles and wife Lori of Tulare; daughter Marla Watts and husband Daniel of Temecula; seven grandchildren, Brittany Watts, Caleb Watts, Korban Earles, Mira Earles, David Earles, Katie Earles and Carrieann Earles; his brother Loy Earles and wife Lois of Fresno; sister Billie Linker and husband Boyce of Pioneer; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lola and Nick Carter of Visalia and many other family members in Oklahoma and Texas. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, August 10, 2013 at First Assembly of God Church, 316 South Mooney Boulevard in Tulare. Arrangements are by Peers Lorentzen Funeral Service. Condolences may be emailed to
