William R. Spellman William R. Spellman left this life for his eternal home on November 25, 2012 with his family at his side. He was born to Iva H. Lewis and Francis J. Spellman on May 18th, 1928 in Salem, Massachusetts. He attended school in Salem. He married Natalie Pacheco on August 17, 1947 in Peabody, Massachusetts. They came to California in 1948 settling in Visalia, where they have lived for 64 years. Bill went to work for the Visalia Post Office on Acequia Avenue, later transferring to the Beech Street office. He was active in the Union, serving as a Representative for many years. He retired in 1990, after 37 years of service. Bill enjoyed bowling, which he did for many years with various leagues. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. They had four children. Bill is survived by his wife, Natalie, and daughters, Sharon Browning and Stacy Afsahi. He also leaves 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Mary, Dorothy and Peggy and a brother Dick, along with many nieces and nephews. William was preceded by his mother, father, his son, William Jr., and daughter Kathleen Manzer-Gold, along with his sisters Francis and Elizabeth and a brother, James. Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel on December 2, 2012 from 4pm until 6pm. A Rosary will be prayed on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 6:00pm at Miller Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Visalia. Arrangements by Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia, CA.
