Joe Peterson Obituary

Joe L. Peterson Joe Loren Peterson was born in Hermaleigh, Texas to Joe and Edra Peterson on May 15, 1930. He passed away on August 25, 2012 at his home in Boerne, Texas. Joe was raised in Visalia and graduated from Visalia High School in 1948. After serving in the Korean War with the Marines, he worked in several different fields and drove a truck before owning 2 of his own trucking companies, hauling for Early California Foods for over 20 years. He enjoyed traveling, especially to anywhere with a casino. At the time of his death he was living in Texas where his hobby was raising goats. He is survived by his wife Lana of Texas, his son Steve and wife Karen and their sons Matt and Tyler of Visalia, son Mike of Gilroy, daughter Stacy and husband Jeff Handley and their son Brent of Visalia, step-daughter Kathie and husband Mike Shannon and their sons Spencer and Stuart of Visalia, and a sister, Jean Plato of Bonners Ferry, Idaho. At Joe's request there will be no services.
