Anita "Ann" De Santos Anita "Ann" De Santos passed away peacefully at her home on February 10, 2013 surrounded by her children and family who treasured and loved her deeply. Anita was born on April 15, 1922 to parents Ursulo and Jovita Rubalcava. She was a homemaker and often stated that her greatest accomplishment and joy in life was the raising of her five children. Anita enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking and baking for her family. Anita valued and treasured her children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren and was a true inspiration in their lives. She was a patient, kind, loving, and caring woman who commanded respect with the tremendous presence she radiated. Her remarkable compassion and listening skills made her a trusted mentor to her children, family and friends. She was active in the community and was a member of St. Brigid's Catholic Church, the Historical Society and the Catholic Daughters. Anita was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Henry "Hank" De Santos, parents Ursulo and Jovita (Anton) Rubalcava, brother Paul Rubalcava, sisters Catherine "Kay" Perez and Julia Miranda, and son-in-law Ron Bruno. Anita's survivors include her sons and spouses: Henry De Santos Jr. and Gloria, Richard De Santos and Patty, daughters and spouses: Virginia Bruno, Linda Lohse and Pat, and Debbie Douglass and Marvin; eight grandchildren: Gina Bruno-Small, Kenneth Bruno, Ryan De Santos, Kristy De Santos-Walker, Michael Lohse, Brian Lohse, Logan Douglass, Madison Douglass-Statler; nine great-grandchildren: Drake Small, Shelby Walker, Kyla Bruno, RJ and Dylan De Santos, Chelsey and Chelby Statler, Dominic and Juliana Di Loreto; great-niece Terri Di Loreto, brother Tony Rubalcava and sister Mary Leon and many nieces and nephews. Anita will be greatly missed by her family and friends but comforted by the knowledge that she is now at peace in Heaven with the love of her life, Henry. The cherished memories that her life provided will allow her family to find solace in knowing that her spirit will live forever in their hearts as their beautiful guardian angel.
