Brenda J. Curtis Brenda was born in Okeema, Oklahoma, On July 7, 1943 to Frank and Norma Chesser. She has joined her husband Freeman, her mother and father, her sisters Mary and Lynn, and her brothers Austin, Paul, and Hugh. She passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the age of 69. Brenda is survived by her daughter Lena Clark and her husband David, son Brian Curtis and his wife Mary Lou, daughter Debbie Cardell and her husband Carl; her two brothers David and Frank Chesser, her sister Edith Hampton; and her four grandchildren Miranda Stites and husband Rick, Marissa Curtis, Steven Curtis, and Faith Cardell. Brenda's family moved to Tulare County in 1954, where she lived most of her life. She was a dedicated member of Visalia First Assembly where she spent many hours volunteering until her declining health prevented further involvement. Most of her volunteering revolved around the Children's Ministries. Brenda devoted her life to being a stay at home mom, not only for her own children but for nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, friends, and by the many people who loved her. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 5-8 P.M. at Salser and Dillard Funereal Chapel: 127 East Caldwell Ave, Visalia. Celebration of Life Service will be held at the same location at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 28, 2013. Burial will be immediately following at Exeter District Cemetery.
