Charles W. Voshall April 29, 1930 - July 25, 2012 Charles W. Voshall was born to Wesley and Blanche Voshall on April 29, 1930 in San Jose, California and passed away peacefully on July 25, 2012 in Visalia, California at the age of 82. Charles married Virginia (Hickman) Voshall on August 4, 1951. Together they raised two sons and a daughter and were married for over sixty years. Charles grew up in San Jose, California and attended Los Gatos High School. Upon graduation in 1948, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska. Following his honorable discharge in 1950, he was recruited to play football for the COS Giants. Charles subsequently moved to Visalia and enrolled at College of the Sequoias where he met and married the love of his life, Virginia. Charles began his career as an insurance agent in 1960 and in 1965 he and Virginia opened Voshall Insurance Agency which remained open until their retirement in 1991. Charles took great pride in serving his customers, some of which became lifelong friends. After retirement, Charles and Virginia enjoyed many trips to their beach house in San Simeon where he enjoyed fishing and relaxing. Charles was preceded in death by his youngest son, Timothy Voshall, his sister, Elva Snyder and brother, Franklin Voshall. Charles is survived by his wife, Virginia, his son, Jeffrey Voshall of Gold Beach, OR, his daughter, Laura Stafford and her husband Gerald of Visalia, CA, his brother, Max Voshall and his wife Patsy of Tulare, CA, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on August 8, 2012 at Visalia Public Cemetery. Arrangements by Miller Memorial Chapel.
