Christian Arcadio Harald Cabanilla Christian Arcadio Harald Cabanilla was born on December 21st 1978. He is survived by his mother Inge-Maria Cabanilla of Visalia and Father Arcadio Cabanilla Jr. of Palm Desert. He is also survived by two sisters, Petit Marchi and Stephanie Crawford, one brother, Anthony Pinson, as well as two nieces and a nephew: Lillyanna and Lauren Crawford and Talus Marchi. He has family in California and uncle and grandmother in Australia. Christian attended Three Rivers Union School, Divisidero Jr. High, and graduated from Redwood High School in 1996. He was an avid skateboarder and snowboarder, a lover of music, and a young man of many friends. He was the first class to graduate from Jr. College in Mammoth Lakes, CA. From there he continued on the path toward a full time life in the snow. When he was 17 he discovered the mountains of Alaska and made it his passion and his mission to become a back-country snowboard guide. His travels and accomplishments were grand. He went on to become a helicopter pilot before the age of 25. He was an expert in his field as the only guide/pilot in the helicopter ski world. His friendships and connections span the globe. His passion and zest for life will be dearly missed and carried on by many. A celebration of the life will take place in Three Rivers on April 13th, 2013 from 3pm-7pm at the Cort Gallery: 41881 Sierra Drive, Three Rivers, CA 93271.
