Cory Haynes Cory Dewayne Haynes was born November 18, 1973 in Tulare, California. He was the son of Wilian Caril and Patty Story Haynes. As a child he was an avid soccer and baseball player. He took karate lessons and loved his bike and skateboard. His favorite playmates were cousins Deana Reed and Tony Story. Cory attended Tulare City Schools, Mulcahy Junior High and graduated from Tulare Western High School in 1992. He attended Wyoming Technical College for Auto Body. Cory worked at Tulare United Methodist Church as sound technician, Twin Oaks Assisted Living as custodian, and Winco Foods at it's opening until now, starting in freight and working his way up to lead clerk where he leaves many friends. Cory loved going to Pismo to camp and ride quads, and show off the power of his Ford truck. One of his favorite times was the Story Reunion where he was the last to win the coveted horseshoe trophy. He loved barbecuing for his family. He was a member of the Break Bread Car Club. Cory loved to tinker in his garage, working on a trailer, low rider bikes and working on his quads. He has one son Cory Haynes II who lives with his mother Geri Russo in Tulare. He and his wife Jill lived in Visalia since their marriage. He has three step-sons, Gilbert Rangel, Richard Aponte Rangel, and Alexander Flores Rangel, all of Visalia. Cory was a member of the Tulare United Methodist Church, where he was baptized and professed his faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. He lost his battle with cancer on April 8, 2013 in Visalia, California. He is survived by his wife Jill Haynes of Visalia; son Cory Haynes II; father Wilian Caril Haynes; mother Patty Story Pamplona; step-father Simon Pamplona, all of Tulare; sister Carrie Crawford of Concord; brothers, Johnny Brazell of Merced, Lejuane Haynes of Hanford, Calvin Haynes of Visalia; grandparents Dorothy Carr, and John and Artie Story, all of Tulare; uncles Joe Willie Haynes, David Haynes of Corcoran, Earl Story and Audie Story of Visalia; aunts Ethel Lee Williams of San Diego and Pam Reed of Fresno; many great aunts and great uncles, many cousins and friends to mention. Visitation will be 12-8 pm, Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2013 at Tulare United Methodist Church with burial at Tulare District Cemetery. Condolences may be emailed to
