Janette Zaslow January 20, 1922 - February 28, 2013 Janette Gist Zaslow, 91, died Thursday February 28, 2013 peacefully with her children at her side. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Zaslow; son, David Zaslow (Deidre Argyle); sister, Dr. Marilyn Farquhar; step-brother, Barton Smith; cousins; nieces; nephews; and many close friends who were considered family. Born and raised in Tulare, CA, to Brooks and Alta Gist. She graduated from UC Berkeley and worked as a psychologist and accountant. Janette was a loving, caring, concerned mother, sister and aunt. She was generous, funny, engaging, and thoughtful. She loved to talk about the Gist family genealogy, food, travel, art, and life. A private funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sat.
