Oh, Janine....I'm finding it very difficult to understand this tragic news. You have always been such a beautiful spirit in our family....sweet and kind. The abalone necklace you made for your Grandma means more to me than ever....Mom knew how much I loved it, so she let me wear it. I have it now and will always remember your sincere love for your family.......

Janine, although I did not know you personally, you have been on my mind so much this last week. My husband was also involved in the accident and although we are so very grateful that he is ok, we are, at the same time, so saddened by your death. We have thought of you many, many times these last few days. The whole thing is terrible and it just doesn't seem fair. Bless your soul Janine, may you rest in peace. And may your family find peace during this very hard time. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

At the Corcoran research station we are chocked and saddened by Janine's death. Her loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers. We could not think of a more beautiful tribute of love than this picture you took two years ago of a cotton flower arrangement - a J - your crew made you.
