Jim Gallegos Jr. Jim C. Gallegos Jr. passed away on August 6, 2012 in Tulare, California at the age of 52. He was born in Tulare, California on June 15, 1960. Jim was a very kind and compassionate person who would give the shirt off his back if someone needed help. He was a people person and loved his family very deeply. Jim attended Tulare schools, graduating from Tulare Western High School in 1979. Jim was a very hard worker and started his working career at the young age of 12. He attended culinary school through TCOVE and was a chef for several years. Later he became a care provider for the developmentally disabled. Jim was a dedicated member of Good Samaritan Church in Tulare where he sang with the choir and was involved in the youth conventions. Survivors include his parents, Jim and Mary Gallegos of Tulare; three brothers, Armando Gallegos, Carlos Gallegos, Paul Gallegos and a sister, Teresa Gallegos, all of Tulare; his uncle, Gregorio Castro and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m., with a wake service at 6 p.m., Monday, August 13, 2012 at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will also be held at the chapel at 9 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Burial will be at Tulare District Cemetery.
