Joe Robert Edgar Joe Robert Edgar of Visalia passed away at home after a long illness on Wed. June 20, 2012 with his family proudly by his side. He was born to Tribble and Annett Edgar on Dec. 25, 1930 in De Queen, Arkansas. He met and married Nova Allen in 1951 and shortly after enlisted in the US Marines as a jet engine air mechanic. Upon his discharge he moved his family to Visalia, where he went to work for his father in his plumbing business. He went onto work for his father and uncle at Edgars Car Sales and finally settling with Pacific Bell, as a lineman and then on to plant supervisor. He retired in 1985 after 35yrs of service. Joe loved traveling to the beaches of Mexico and enjoyed many outdoor activities. He loved his family and is survived by his loving wife Nova Edgar of 61 years, daughters, Carolyn and husband Steve Wilson of Exeter, CA, Kathy and husband Larry Moore of Exeter, CA, four grandchildren: Michele Shuler, Sarah and Justin Maness, and Cody Wilson, nine great grand-children: Zackery, Lane, Ashlyn, Lisette, Alissa, Blake, Hayden, Evan and Annalyce, sisters Cherry and Leland Radcliff, Sandy and James Dacus of Texas, brother and sister in-laws Bill and Margaret Allen with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death in by his parents and sister Sharon Wolf. Visitation will be held Thursday June 28, 2012 from 4:00-7:00pm at Miller Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Friday June 29, 2012 at 11:00am at Miller Memorial Chapel. Condolences may be offered at www.millerchapel.com
