Jose Manuel Martinez A loving husband, father, and friend, Jose Manuel Martinez, also known as "PEPE", was surrounded by his loved ones when he peacefully passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012. Jose was a dedicated Firefighter, first employed with Fresno County Cal Fire, then continued and advanced his career with the San Jose Fire Department. Jose's hard work ethic and dedication to the SJFD was received and returned when he was promoted to the rank of Engineer in 2004 and Captain in June of 2011. Jose leaves behind his wife, Melissa, three beautiful children: Jonah (8), Olivia & Sophia (3 weeks), parents Rueben & Maria, brothers Martin & Ruben, and sisters Rosie & Julie.
