Kim Blankenship Obituary

On Sunday, March 6, 2011, Kim Blankenship's life journey stopped short of 55 years to join our Father in Heaven. She walked her journey and strongly fought her battle against cancer, leaving her strength to live on in her 4 daughters, Tami, Angie, Megan and Janae, as well as her fiancé Zeke, 2 son-in-laws Brian & Chris, 5 grandchildren Madisyn, McKenna, Kasara, Bella and Thomas, and Sharon, her best friend of 45 years. As she starts a new journey that we can't even begin to imagine, we will remember her by her smile, laughter, comforting hugs and her strength. We will remember her as mom, Grammy, friend and as our hero. Our memories of her will last forever. Kim's Going Home Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm at New Beginnings Church in Visalia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the fund for her youngest daughter Janae Blankenship at Visalia Community Bank, Attn JR.

To each one of you that feels their hearts have broken, words have no magical power. Except to try and transfer some feeling of love to us all. My heart is broken for you yet for all of us that have had to say good bye to someone God gave us, to love...we hold you in our arms, our hearts until you can remember her without the pain. And it does come. Time time time. Love you all very much. Kim was beautiful and will be deeply missed. Her beauty will live on and on, because of the beautiful daughters and grandchildren she created. Lots of love to you, love Aunt Sandy

What can I say about someone that has been such a major part of my life for so many years. High School sweethearts..... my first wife and the Mother of my amazing Tami...... Kim, you touched my life in so many positive ways that words can't express. Your smile could melt my heart and your laughter stop me in my tracks ! Even though we chose different paths for our lives one thing never changed...... Our love for our Daughter. You did an amazing job raising, with-out a doubt one of the most compassionate, caring, loving individuals I have ever known. Thank you..... for your unselfish giving of yourself to so many. You touched a lot of lives and caused a lot of smiles.
Tami, Angi, Meg & Nae...... You have all grown up to be beautiful women and I can see your Mother in each of you. This was her gift to you. Hold on to that, continue to live you lives with honor and respect, love each other, be the strong women your Mother raised you to be. And, in doing so a part of her will remain alive in each of you.
Kim, you will be missed but never forgotten. Now...... Fluff your feathers and fly sweetie !!!!!!!!!

May you celebrate with God each moment you look down on us and see the legacy that you created. I will miss your witty comments and banter that, after so much time apart, we could always pick right back up on. I will forever be grateful for the amazing sister that you gave me and through her the priviledge of knowing you and the girls.
My prayers are with your family as they anticipate your welcoming them Home.
Love

To Tami, Angie, Megan and Janae, your precious mom lives on through you! Each of you behold and exude unique and beautiful expressions of Kim and it's marvelous to see!

Kim and her daughter's have been a part of the "Hutchins" family for many years. When I think of Kim I always remember her beautiful smile and how it made me feel so welcomed into her life and friendship. Throughout the years as I grew up and my brothers and I married, had children of our own, Kim and the girls always remained close family friends. Kim was the kind of friend that even though we hadn't seen or spoken in years we would cross paths every so often and that closeness we had always picked up where we left off, strong and wonderful. Kim beautifully raised her four girls as mainly a single parent and they all four take after her perfectly. I will miss you Kim, but Praise God for the gift of knowing you!

When I think of Kim I think of her soft skin, glowing smile, unselfish attitude, and loving heart. Kim knew No stranger and everyone that came across her path was someone special to her. Although I miss her terribly I know that she is in no pain and her body is at peace. For Tami,Angie,Megan, and Janae, You could not ask for a more prouder Mother than she is of you four girls. You are her life. May you find peace in the days to come when you hear or read a special story, the many lives that your mother has touched beyond your family. I was truly blessed to have been able to have called her my friend.
