Lloyd Elmer McKibben Lloyd Elmer McKibben, age 87, passed away on August 15, 2012. Born in Camden Point, MO., Lloyd moved to Visalia in 1935 with parents Perry and Delitha and brothers William, Wilburn and Rufus. In 1943 he was drafted into the Army and heroically fought in the and Phillipines, Solomon Islands and critically wounded in a battle at Bouganville. He was decorated with the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, Bronze Star and Purple Heart. On June 7, 1947 he married Patsy Butts. Together they had two sons, Eddie and Tommy. Lloyd worked at the Visalia Knudsen Creamery for 21 years and in construction in Yreka until retirement. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 65 yrs, Patsy McKibben, Eddie (son) and his wife Kathy, Belinda (daughter-in-law) grandchildren: Tonya, Jen, Brian, Andrew, and great grandchildren: Natalie, Chase, and Graham. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 at Miller Memorial Chapel at 1:00pm. Condolences may be offered by www.millerchapel.com
