Manuel Norman "Red" Correa, Sr. Manuel Norman Correa was born in Tulare, CA on February 1, 1936 to Domingos and Maria Correa. He passed away on November 30, 2012 at home with his loving family by his side. Both cancer and Alzheimer's Disease were contributing factors to his passing at 76 years of age. Manuel was a dairyman for 40 years before retiring from the dairy industry in the mid-1980's. He and his wife, Patsy Correa, also owned a convenience store for many years in Goshen, CA. Aside from the dairy industry, Manuel dedicated his life to his family and to helping others. He volunteered much of his retired years to the United Domestic Workers, a union for in-home care providers to the ill and the elderly. He and Patsy also opened their home to many children in need over their 44 years of marriage. Manuel was also a previous member of the P.P.A.V. Festa Committee and the Goshen Mounted Police. Manuel married Patsy Correa on September 5, 1965. Together, they raised five biological children as well as numerous foster children. Survivors include his sons and their significant others: Manuel N. Correa, Jr. & fiance Lina Crawford of Visalia, Patrick & Emily Correa of Goshen, Shaun & Jocelyn Correa of Visalia, as well as his daughters and their husbands: Dana & Eric Kyle of Porterville and Rhonda & Nathan Graham of Morro Bay, CA. He is also survived by his brother Domingos "Dink" Correa and his wife Kay Correa, as well as his sisters Ruby Goodman, Irene Matta and her husband Richard Matta, all of Visalia. In addition, he is survived by 18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 Godchild. He is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Patsy Correa, his father Domingos Alvares Correa, Sr, his mother Maria Lorraine Pereira Correa, brother Leonel Alvares Correa and brother-in-law James "Jim" Goodman. Viewing will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel on Sunday, December 9th between 4 and 6 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 608 N. Church St., Visalia on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services following at Visalia District Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Tulare County Volunteer Firefighters Association or the Goshen Mounted Police.
