Mary V. Caccamo Connolly (Ross) Nutritional Consultant/Business Owner Born in Hollywood, Florida on May 26, 1926, Mary passed in Visalia, CA to eternal life with her Savior on August 4, 2012, at the age of 86. Mary was the youngest child of Anthony and Adelina Caccamo. She was raised in San Jose , CA where she met her cherished husband of 45 year, Thomas H. Connolly. They met while Tom was in the Navy and would come to the creamery where Mary was a waitress. He would order milk for ten cents and leave a twenty-five cent tip. Tom and Mary raised three children. In San Jose Mary worked in retail clothing management. She also worked in school food service where she supervised kitchens. When her husband was stricken with cancer she became engrossed in study about the benefits of proper nutrition. Through Mary's diligence in providing her husband a new way of eating, he survived years longer than anyone expected. In 1976, Mary moved to Visalia where she opened "An Apple A Day" health food store. Tom soon followed to help with the retail aspects of the store. Mary was passionate about helping people find nutritional solutions to their health problems. She helped countless people. After her first husband died she was married to Edward Ross, DC, for 18 years until his own health required he move to Los Angeles to be cared for by his children. Mary is survived by her husband Edward Ross; children Leia (Dr. John) Thomas of Visalia, Berna (Ron) Oreshan of Tucson, AZ, Tyler Connolly (partner Dan Wood) of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Merina Amos, Jonna Thomas, Daevin Thomas, Nicholas Oreshan and three great grandchildren and twins due at any time. Although we are deeply saddened to lose our much loved mom, we are pleased to know that she reunited with our dad, is out of pain and is with Jesus at the greatest party she has ever known. We would like to especially thank Dr. Steven Meis for his excellent and unceasing compassionate care of our mother. We also want to thank the many nurses who have cared for mom over the last several months. Condolences may be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
