Mary Joyce Myrick Mary Joyce Myrick was born on November 24, 1933 and passed away peacefully on July 2, 2012 in Tulare, CA at the age of 78. As a child, Joyce lived in Kernville, CA and Big Creek, CA. Joyce attended Sierra High School (class of 1952) in Auberry, CA, where she met her husband. They married in 1953 in Fresno, CA and had 3 children. Joyce and her husband moved to Tulare, CA in 1960 and she remained there until her death. She worked as a bank teller for over 25 years, most recently at Bank of America, and volunteered at Tulare Farm Equipment Show. Joyce enjoyed traveling the United States and Canada with her husband and many friends. She also loved reading, sewing, tending to her flowers and garden, Friday night dinners with friends, and visiting her sister and family in the Los Angeles area. Joyce was extremely patriotic, she loved her country and flag. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis (Mike) & Ruth Blain. She is survived by her husband John Richard Myrick, Jr.; a son, Fred Myrick, wife Bernie; a daughter Lana, husband Tim Bullock; and a son, Rod Myrick. She had 3 grandchildren; Fred Myrick, wife Melanie; Brad Myrick, wife Carly; and Hayley, husband Jeremy Faiman. She also had 5 great-grandchildren. Joyce was also survived by a sister, Barbara, husband Howard Potter, and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 4-8pm at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 10am, Tulare District Cemetery, 900 E. Kern Ave. Arrangements are entrusted to Miller's Tulare Funeral Home.
