Nadine Amelia (Vigario) Maciel Nadine Maciel, 102, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, in Visalia, Calif. She was born and raised in Hanford, Calif., and graduated from St. Rose's School. Nadine was active in the IDES (Past First Lady), other Portuguese Fraternal Organizations, YLI and Altar Society. Nadine is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws, Francis Maciel (Lillian) and Rodney Maciel (Helen); daughter, Francine Ferris; step-daughter, LaVerne Costa; 13 grand-children; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Maciel; second husband, Manuel Costa; siblings Mabel, Germilda and Walter; son, Frederick; daughter-in-law, Tonya Maciel; son-in-law, Michael Ferris; and great-grandson, Kevin Krupp. The recitation of the rosary will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Benedict-Rettey Mortuary, 1401 Quintana Road in Morro Bay. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 962 Piney Way in Morro Bay. Benedict-Rettey, 772-7382.
