Paul Edward Shaw Paul Edward Shaw, age 75, died peacefully on March 11, 2013. Paul grew up in England and in 1977 arrived in San Jose, CA. He is survived by his wife, Laura Hodge-Shaw of Visalia, CA. Paul's children are: Gary Shaw of United Kingdom; Chris Shaw & (wife) Mary Kay Thome-Shaw of California; Samantha (Shaw) Jaramillo and (husband) Philippe Jaramillo as well as three grandchildren, Dylan, Christian and Grace Jaramillo of Nevada; his sister, Sonia Gwilliam of United Kingdom and brother, John Shaw and wife (Mary Jo) of California. Paul had a love for cooking and gardening along with an entrepreneurial spirit. The Shaw brothers opened their first restaurant in England called "The Tender Trap". Paul later moved the family to Portimao, Portugal in the early 1970's and opened a restaurant called "The Iron Gate". After arriving in the United States in September 1977, Paul and family celebrated his son Chris' 13th birthday at Century Theatres in San Jose, CA to see the opening of Star Wars. A wonderful memory his son will never forget. With Paul's passion for cooking, he once held the position as a Butler for the Annenberg family, Walter and Leonore. Their estate located in the desert just outside of Palm Springs, CA was a place where world leaders could discuss pressing issues facing the nation and the world. In fact, Paul met and served dinner to former President, Ronald Reagan, his wife Nancy along with the Shah of Iran and his family. He leaves us with a lifetime of memories including his appreciation for living in the moment. A celebration of Paul's life will be held as a private memorial service with close family and friends.
