Marie "Janette" Lobdell Marie "Janette" Lobdell was born March 8, 1952 to Gene & Helen Lobdell in Long Beach, California and died March 1, 2013 at her home in Visalia, California. She moved with her family to Visalia in July, 1963. Janette graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in 1970 where she was voted the shyest person in her graduating class. Janette graduated from Fresno State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology along with a teaching credential. In 1994 she received her Master of Arts Degree in Education from Fresno Pacific College. Janette taught at various schools in the area and found her calling as a reading specialist for underachieving primary age students. She was honored by receiving Teacher of the Year for the Exeter School District in 1987. Janette found her greatest joy while reading to her granddaughters Kelly & Kacey. Janette is preceded in death by her mother Helen Lobdell. She leaves behind her son Rob Christy and precious granddaughters Kelly & Kacey Christy of Visalia. She also leaves behind her father Gene Lobdell of Visalia, sister Becky Parker (Tim) of Bremerton, Washington and twin sister Janeen Lorenzi (Ed) of Visalia as well as numerous nieces & nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16th, 2:00 pm at Millers Memorial Chapel in Visalia. Arrangement by Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia.
