Donald Wayne Branum It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Wayne Branum of Visalia announces his passing after a battle with cancer, on Friday, February 28, 2014, at the age of 71 years. Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 27 years, Betty, and his children, Shelley Jones and husband Keith of Visalia, Rick Branum and wife Beverly of Texas, Step-daughter Holly Tucker and husband Tracy of Porterville, step-son Darryl Rowan of Louisiana. Don had many grandchildren that were a big part of his life and will miss him deeply. Don has a sister Doris Hansen and brothers: Jerry Branum and Mark Branum as well as many close friends that will remember him with love and fondness. Don was born in Porterville, California on May 12, 1942 to MC (Polly) and Faye Branum. He graduated high school at Porterville High and his first job was delivering milk bottles to homes. He later entered his career at Adohr Farms Creamery in Tulare, California where he retired after 37 years. After retirement, he worked for Visalia RV selling RV's and campers and enjoyed time with family and friends and vacationing. Don enjoyed spending his afternoons with close friends at Starbucks coffee house as well as taking his beloved dogs to the dog park. A Memorial service will be held to celebrate Don's life on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Parkside Chapel, 3200 E. Walnut ave. Visalia. Brunch reception following. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Bryson Oncology office for their care, compassion, and friendship. Also to the ICU nurses and physicians at Kaweah Delta who worked diligently to make his last hours comfortable and peaceful. Memorial donations in memory of Don can be made to the local
