Emma Mason Obituary
Emma Jeanne Mason Emma Jeanne Judkins Mason passed away March 1, 2014 at her home in Visalia, CA. Born in San Luis Obispo, CA, she was an 8th generation Californian and the only child of Chester Willson Brumley and Florence Chapuis Brumley. She was the Valedictorian at Shandon High School in 1946 and editor of the "The Outlaw yearbook". Emma Jeanne was twice widowed. In 1946 she married A C Judkins who passed in 1968. They had two children, Allen Judkins & Elaine Galetti who passed in 1997. Kenneth Mason was her second husband who passed in 1981. Emma Jeanne was a horse woman who in her early years helped gather and work cattle alongside her father and A C. Together they spent many weekends doing horse events. While A C roped, Emma Jeanne helped start the California Barrel Racing Association and was the founding president. She subsequently belonged to the Girls Rodeo Association and the SLO Cowbells. She retired in 1993 as a budget analyst for the Satellite Communications Station at Camp Roberts. After retirement she had a small antique business. Emma Jeanne moved to Visalia, CA to be nearer to her son. Special thanks to her friends at The Town Meadows, Kaweah Delta Health and Hospice personnel and her care giver, Tena Malic. The family plans no services. Emma Jeanne donated to several veterans organizations. She would like it if you did the same. A memorial tribute may be offered by logging onto www.salseranddillard.com
