Barbara Jean (Dooley) Kemp 07 - 01 - 1927 to 04 - 15 - 2014 Barbara Jean Dooley was born into a very humble rural home in Terre Haute, IN, of "On Banks of the Wabash" fame. She was the baby of the family, with four brothers and two sisters. School became an escape from home and that was a precursor to later scholastics. Daughter, Marilyn Jean Kassel, came into Barbara's life in 1949 and became a great joy to her life. She was an accountant to professionals for many years and embarked on her college degree at age 42, while working and caring for a family. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Mary of the Woods in Terre Haute, IN. She continued in her career in accounting until the early 1990's. She led an independent life and settled in Visalia in 1984 to reside closer to three Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Marion Kemp of Visalia, who has been a faithful husband and attendant during her recent health issues Visitation will begin on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel 127 E. Caldwell Ave. Visalia CA 93277. Service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel 127 E. Caldwell Ave. Visalia CA 93277.
