Virgie Stoner Virgie Eula Stoner, a longtime resident of Tulare passed away July 14, 2014 at the age of 94. She was born February 13, 1920 in Weber Falls, Oklahoma. Virgie was a dedicated and caring woman. She worked as a nurse's aide at Tulare District Hospital for 30 years and was presented with a certificate for her many years of loyal, conscientious service and performance. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts and in her later years attended water aerobics at Evolutions. Family was very important to Virgie, especially her grandchildren, who she loved dearly. Survivors include her husband Clark Stoner of Tulare; 2 daughters, Sharon K. Stoner of Jacksonville, FL and Rita Begley of Fresno; her brother George McAnally of Sutter; her sister Margaret Campos of Marysville; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be 12-8 pm, Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 10 am, Friday, July 18, 2014 also at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel with burial following at Tulare District Cemetery.
