Eric Lewis 1970 - 2014 Eric Lewis was born May 27, 1970 in Loma Linda, CA to Theodore D Lewis Jr. and Theresa I (Lewis) Aston and was taken to his eternal home unexpectedly on July 15, 2014 in Santa Maria. He is survived his daughter Danielle Lewis, mother Theresa Aston, father Theodore (Johanna) Lewis, sister Kristy Lewis, niece Kristjana Lewis, grandparent Albert (Toy Lee) La Mere and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is proceeded death by his stepfather Gary Aston, grandparents Lula Mae (Richard) Dennis, Theodore D Lewis Sr., uncle Albert Vernon La Mere and Aunt Connie Dennis. Eric went all through his school years in Santa Maria, graduating from Santa Maria High School in 1988. While at Santa Maria High School he was active in FFA showing lambs, Vice President in 1988 and the Ag Mechanics and Welding teams. After high school he attended West Hills College in Coalinga and Pierce College in North Ridge. Then he moved to Visalia/Tulare area and worked in the dairy industry. In 1995 he welcomed a beautiful daughter that was the true love of his life. In 2006 he returned to Santa Maria where he found employment with Sun Grow, Frozun Foods and most currently Polar Bear Refrigeration. Also renewing old friendships and classmates. He enjoyed BBQing, racing (Santa Maria Speedway), Xbox, spending time with his family/friends and In & Out Burger. Eric was fun loving, first to crack jokes or make you smile, loyal, dependable, first to lend a helping hand, and at times a general pain in the (ASS). He will truly be missed by all who knew him. One of his most proud accomplishments was working for the Relay for Life as part of the Pink Panther team raising money for cancer. Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 25, 2014 2pm @ the new section of the Santa Maria Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday July 26, 12:00 pm @the Eagle Hall, 668 S. College St., Santa Maria, CA 93454. In memory of Eric Lewis, the family would appreciate, in lieu of flowers, the money be donated to his very good friend Jimi Butler, who has been fighting Squamous Cell Cancer since 2000.
