Mrs. Consuelo Perez of Visalia went home to be with the Lord Sunday November 14, 2010 with all her children at her side in Visalia at the age of 79. Mrs. Perez was born August 23, 1931 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Miguel and Theodora Elizarraraz. Mrs. Perez was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking especially her homemade tortillas, gardening, flowers and spending time with family and friends. She will be best remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother with a generous and giving heart. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by 5 sons, Joe Perez of Coalinga, Valentine Perez of Visalia; Ray and Eusebio Perez of Exeter; James Perez of Porterville; 8 daughters, Carmen Valdez of Goshen; Mary Hollers and Connie Garza of Visalia; Conchita Perez of Farmersville; Linda Garcia of Lindsay; Mary Lou Gonzales of Tulare; Angelita Perez of Porterville; Juanita Garcia of Exeter; a sister, Juanita Elizarraraz of Matamoros, Mexico and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Tony Perez in 1986, a brother, Alfonso Elizarraraz and a sister, Chole Velasquez. A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, followed by interment at Visalia District Cemetery. A rosary will be held Wednesday 6:00 p.m. at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel and visitation will be held Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
