Fernanda Lima Serpa Fernanda Lima Serpa met God's sweet embrace Wednesday, November 2 at 2:25pm at Kaweah Delta Hospital. She spent the last two and a half months in the hospital battling severe health problems & post-surgical complications which, in the end, became insurmountable. She has fought the good fight & all who know her know she was a valiant woman of tremendous faith who had already overcome seemingly impossible illness & health issues over 13 years ago. Her wish back then was to witness the marriage of her two daughters, Lucy & Susie & to come to know her future grandchildren. God, in his infinite mercy & through her unwavering faith, answered her prayers. Fernanda was blessed with six beautiful grandchildren & the relationship between them is pure, sacred & transcends from this life into the next. She spent her final days & hours surrounded by loved ones, including the grandchildren she adored. Left to cherish her loving memory is her loving husband of 40 years, Frank Serpa; daughter, Lucy Silva & husband Jason Silva of Visalia; daughter, Susie Perez & husband Eddie Perez of Visalia; 6 grandchildren, Jake Silva, Jordan Silva, Ashley Silva, Jayden Perez, Katelyn Perez & Mason Perez; sister, Mafalda of Fresno; sister, Fatima of Açores, Portgual; brothers, Joao & Henrique of Açores, Portugal along with many nieces, nephews & family members throughout California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria & Joao along with her brother, Jose of Açores, Portugal. Our precious wife, mother & vavô left us with dignity, grace & a legacy of love & faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord & Savior. We will forever remember & love her. It is this sacred love that binds our hearts forever & it is only faith that carries us through this difficult time & will re-unite us in Christ's perfect kingdom one sweet day. Monetary donations in memory of Fernanda Serpa can be made to Saint Mary's Catholic Church. 1 Timothy 6:12 "Fight the good fight of the faith; take for yourself the life eternal, for which you were marked out, and of which you gave witness in the eyes of all". Psalm73:23-27 " Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever".
