Barbara L. Carter Barbara L. Clinton, 67, of Visalia, California, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. She was born in San Luis Obispo, CA on August 17, 1944, to the late Loretta and Cleo Clinton. Mrs. Carter spent most of her career as a Career Counselor at both Mt. Whitney and Golden West High Schools, from where she retired in 2008. She enjoyed a life of travel with her family. She was a loving and compassionate soul that never met a stranger. Her infectious smile and and heartfelt laugh brought joy and love to all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years Jim R. Carter of Visalia, CA; sister Dana Clinton of Fresno, CA; son Dane R. Carter and wife Jennifer of Dallas, TX; and Grandsons Rylan and Brennan Carter, also of Dallas, TX. Her memorial was held on Monday, March 26, 2012 at Millers Memorial Chapel in Visalia. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
